Fresh week, fresh start over here. 💪🙌

We kicked off the morning with our team meeting at JET Realty Group, and had Steven Goldman from CMG Home Loans join us to walk through some creative financing options for buyers. Always good to learn new ways to help clients get where they want to go. 🏡

Meanwhile at the DeRyke house… we’re apparently in full Spring cleaning mode.

One kiddo still home with me today, 5 inches of snow outside, and somehow I still managed to rearrange the living room and dining room and steam mop every floor… yes, even under the furniture.

So while Minnesota is still deciding if it’s winter or spring…
we’re choosing spring energy anyway.

Spring Break + real estate + mom life = full house over here. 😅

I sat down last night to review a purchase agreement and check a contract one of my mentees wrote for compliance… and immediately gained two assistants.

One said, “I can help.”
The other grabbed my hand and tried to pull me to his room for LEGO time.

So we improvised.

Contracts on the desk.
Kids at my side.
And yes… every toy in the house has apparently been played with this week, so don’t judge the background mess. That’s Spring Break with kids. 🤷‍♀️

This week has been a little extra full. My husband just started a new job with a new schedule, we’re trying a new chiropractor and care plan for my son, and I’m still showing up for my clients (thank goodness for grandmas helping with showings and appointments).

I’ve stopped trying to “balance” work and life. Nobody wins that game.

Instead, we integrate it.

Has it been quiet? No.
Has it been messy? Absolutely.

But it’s real life.

If you’re also in a season where work, family, and life are all happening at once… just know you’re not the only one figuring it out as you go. I take all hacks, tips and tricks

As women, moms, business owners, caregivers… we are so quick to show up for everyone else. But here’s the truth:

We cannot pour from an empty cup.

If we don’t care for our mental health, our physical health, our peace, and our growth — eventually everything we’re building starts to feel heavier than it should.

Taking care of ourselves isn’t selfish.
It’s stewardship.

When we are grounded, rested, and supported… we lead better. We parent better. We serve our clients better.

Today I’m choosing to fill my cup so I can continue to show up fully for the people who trust me with their homes, their families, and their futures.

Saturday morning = mobile office mode. 💻🚗☀️

Logged into my MLS from the passenger seat.
Coffee in the cup holder.
Blanket as a desk.
Headed to show:

✔️ A home for a friend’s client
✔️ A team listing
✔️ Three properties for a buyer searching in the St. Paul area

And this was supposed to be the weekend I finished house projects. 😉

Here’s the honest truth about this business:

It requires sacrifice.
It requires flexibility.
It requires answering the call when it’s inconvenient.

But it also gives something powerful in return.

I get to build something that belongs to my family.
I get to be in the trenches with my clients — not just sending listings, but showing up.
I get to help people make life-changing moves while we build toward our own clear family goals.
