Spring market is NOW. 🏡
I've had a number of friends and family reach out to me recently that they would like to buy a home this year, so I wanted to take a moment to share the things I can do to help you be more prepared and knowledgeable for when the time comes for you to buy!
1) First thing I can do is set you up on an MLS (Multiple Listing Service) email search which will immediately email you anytime a home comes on the market, off the market, or changes price that fits your criteria. That way you can get better feel for how fast the market is moving, especially with how low inventory is right now. Plus, it will save you time and the hassle of always plugging your criteria into websites such as Zillow.com, Realtor.com, etc. Since this email search is tied directly to the MLS, the marketplace of homes for sale that Realtor®s have access to, it will have the most up-to-date information on the homes available: no more wondering if a house is still on the market.
2) Whether or not you think your credit or finances are in a good enough standing to buy a home, I can get you in touch with a mortgage lender that can help you formulate a game-plan to get pre-approved. Typically, if you have a full-time job and just a few thousand dollars, you can get yourself into a home with many of the home-buying programs available! And as you may have heard, interest rates are quite low right now, often hovering around the ~3% mark. (Depending on your current finances, credit, and the loan program.) 📃
