With interest rates being the lowest they have been in years, many people are taking advantage of buying homes in 2021 throughout cities across the country. However, when it comes to purchasing real estate in Miami, homebuyers may not be as fortunate.

Interest Rates are increasing, may not be a bad thing may decrease demand and make it easier to find a home. But if you are under contract ask your lender if it is a good time to lock your rate.

This morning, rates are attempting a reversal. If they succeed, the aggressive increase should slow down and we may see rates lower a touch in the following week. 2020's total appreciation was 10.4% and we expect another 7% increase in home prices in 2021.

Want to know why rates went up? Inflation. Conventional rates jumped up from 2.9% to 3.2% in 10 days because of the anticipation of inflation caused by the Fed's spending-forward monetary policy at the moment. That said, rates are still at a historic low, so no need to panic. Just because you didn't catch the rate at the bottom doesn't mean you missed out on an opportunity 😎

Mortgage rates started the new year with a new record low!! The 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped this week to 265% from 2.67% the previous week!!!
