Rosario Salazar's design skills were nurtured at the Piloto University in Bogotá , Colombia , where she received a bachelor's degree in architecture prior to coming to the U.S. After several years as an architect specializing in renovations and historic preservation, she was retained by a leading interior design firm to oversee mayor residential and commercial projects, resulting in several statewide honors. She established her own multi-faceted Miami based design firm in 1995, and since then she has been designing non-stop for the South Florida elite. Rosario is the recipient of many Design Awards, such as the ASID< IDG< as well as the “Orchid Award”, which is given to Colombian citizens that have excelled in and outside Colombia for her work as an Architect and Interior Designer. Rosario Salazar designs and manufactures her own line of exclusive furniture out of her own shops located in Miami and Bogotá, her native city in Colombia.
