Before you buy, you need to verify zoning, setbacks, utilities, flood zone, access, and whether the lot is actually suitable for the home you want to build.

2️⃣ Your construction budget starts BEFORE construction.
Clearing the land, permits, architectural plans, engineering, utility connections, site work, impact fees, and other costs can add up quickly — and they’re easy to overlook when budgeting.

3️⃣ You need to know what you can build BEFORE you buy the land.
Don’t fall in love with a lot first and figure out the house later. Make sure the lot can accommodate the size, layout, pool, garage, setbacks, and other features you want.
