Mateo, here at about 18 months old was attempting to touch our cat, Tiki. Tiki, was never a fan of kids 😂
Seeing him so interested in our cat and looking back at the camera is a sight ill never forget. He'll be 12 in July and has come a long way, but its still a long way to go. God brought Mateo here for a reason and he is who he is. And there's a reason why he is named Mateo (meaning God is gracious)

Parents of profoundly autistic kids dont care about the cause, we can't go back in time and change the outcomes. But what we do want are solutions. We want to know what is going on with our kids biologically/neurologically down to the cellular level. We want doctors to listen when we ask for something, to work with us, nor against us. While ABA, speech or OT can be beneficial for some kids, it does not work for all kids.

I want traditional medicine AND functional medicine to join forces and work together to better help our children/adults with profound autism. Autism isnt a cutesy term you use to describe a quirk of yours. It is a real and debilitating condition for many children and adults all over the world

These three give me the title, "Mami." One of the toughest journeys of my life, one of the most blessed. To see your heart on two feet running/walking about. How God entrusted me to take care of them, to love them, to guide them and to always be there for them. How He thought of me when He created them, it's an indescribable feeling.
