Tricia graduated from Iowa State University, then moved to Iowa City to raise her family. Now that her two children are grown, Tricia is rediscovering life as an empty nester and grandma! She’s an active volunteer with United Way and Go Red for Women Heart Association. When she isn’t working or volunteering, Tricia is attending UI sporting events, spending time with friends and family, church, golfing, walking in her neighborhood, or taking beach vacations. ***Update: due to recent weather conditions, the start date has been moved to April 27. The post has been edited to reflect the new date.***

🚧 Construction alert: 🚧 The intersection of Heartland Drive and Commerce Drive will be closed April 27 through mid-August for construction of a new roundabout.

The project is designed to improve safety for drivers and pedestrians, and ease congestion at this busy intersection.

Costco shoppers, you're covered: the northern entrance to Costco will remain accessible from the Heartland Drive/Commercial Park intersection.

The project is partially funded by a grant from the Iowa DOT Traffic Safety Improvement Program. The closure means a little extra planning, but the results will be worth it!

Drop off a new or gently used book for Pre-K-6th graders at the Urban Acres office anytime in March. We’ve partnered with United Way of Johnson & Washington Counties to make sure every book finds its way to a child.
