🚨 JOHNSON COUNTY HOMEOWNERS: Are you leaving money on the table? 🚨

If you bought a home recently, or have never filed for it before, this is your official reminder to submit your Homestead Tax Credit application before the July 1st deadline!

What does it do? It exempts a chunk of your home’s value from being taxed, giving you a nice discount on your annual property tax bill.

The best part? You only have to file for it ONCE. As long as you own and occupy the home as your primary residence, the credit sticks with you every year until you move.

Bonus Tip: If you or a loved one are 65 or older, you are also eligible for an additional Homestead Tax Exemption right on the exact same form.

How to file:

3️⃣ Email or mail it directly to the Johnson County Assessor’s office in Iowa City!

Closing day magic ❤️🏡

What an absolute honor it was to help these two incredible women find their home—and somewhere along the way, gain two friends for life. From the very beginning, this journey was filled with laughter, trust, and so much heart.

This month marks 10 years since I started my journey in real estate — and 10 years since Urban Acres Real Estate opened its doors. When I took my very first headshot, I never imagined the path this career would take me on.

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude looking back on a decade of helping so many families and individuals find their homes, and in turn, being able to provide for my own. 🏡❤️
