Wishing peace to all the students, staff, families, and heroic first responders affected by yesterday’s tragedy on the lake.

It’s rare you’ll find me without a baseball hat and workout clothes on but every once in a moon as blue as this hand-me-down shirt, I get dressed up in an attempt to look professional. This occasion has been brought to you by the official photos for the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors Board of Directors. With my everyday mothering life coming to an end as a recent empty nester, I have a little more time on my hands and was honored to have had the opportunity to serve for a short time with our local Realtor association board and now I have the photo to document it. I’m grateful for the chance to give back to the profession that has given me so much. Thanks for having me, ICAAR!

🧗🏻🏔️ I climb mountains so your move doesn’t feel like one.

Dancing my way up Edge of Time in Estes Park, Colorado. One of the most iconic and classic climbs in North America. Still pinching myself!

Some houses are sold. This one is passed on. A Painted Lady that locals have admired for generations, The Kepler House has anchored Mt. Vernon’s historic streetscape since 1892. Over eleven painstaking years, every detail of its restoration was sourced, considered & executed by hand making this a true reclamation, not just a renovation A wrap around porch, rebuilt with no-maintenance flooring, sets the tone: this is a home that honors its past while asking nothing extra of its next steward. Inside, the main level was designed for both function & elegance. An office, two living rooms, & a formal DR flow through spaces grounded by quarter-sawn oak floors, original wood trim, & pocket doors that still glide as if newly hung. Even the updated lighting was chosen to reflect the era. The gourmet kitchen balances the home’s history with modern intention featuring quartz counters, a Wolf Range, & generous soapstone island w/ prep sink that seamlessly connect to a laundry area w/ full bath. A grand staircase leads to the 2nd level where the primary suite offers cedar closets & an ensuite bath alongside 3 light-filled large bedrooms & a 2nd full BA. The finished attic expands the home further w/ a 5th BR, full BA & a large family room already plumbed for a wet bar. 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, 134 years of character. Zero details left to chance.

A weekend to remember. From one of my favorite homes getting one of my favorite signs, to my ring bearer getting married, and then toss a second prom into the mix just to keep our schedules on our toes, the Pattons pulled off some serious memory making. Congratulations & and thank you to & for throwing a party none of us will ever forget!
