Bud & Loni Drew are the managers of Safe Place Food Pantry at 328 Main St. Corinth, ME.
We have recently found a way to be of more help to others in our surrounding community. We are in the process of purchasing a set of buildings at #10 Exeter Rd, across from Corinth town office. This will soon be housing the U.S.D.A.& Safe Place Outlet.
What does this mean? Simply put it will provide smaller food pantries from the surrounding area of Corinth and people in need of food a place to come to acquire these food commodities. We are simply going to be the warehouse and northern pick-up station for other pantries to pick up these commodities.
Eventually, Safe Place Food Pantry will be moving here as well because of easier access and ease of parking as we continue to grow. We are already at compacity in our other building and are finding it exceedingly harder as the years go by to climb and store product on the 2nd and third floors of our current building, let alone for safety reasons as far as the parking goes.
Here at our new warehouse, everything will be at ground level and plenty of room for growth! WE are already serving close to 800 families every month at our current place on Main street in Corinth, ME.
As we continue to forge ahead in this new endeavor we will post our goal as we reach it and also our mailing address is USDA & Safe Place Outlet, P.O.Bx 302 Corinth, ME 04427.
We will be asking for supporters to help with donations to purchase the building. Please, Let it be known to all that NO amount of dollars will be kept for personal benefit but ALL monies will go towards the purchase and renovations of these buildings. We wish to thank you for all your great support for Safe Place Food Pantry in the past 10 years and hope to see you join us as we continue to grow and help more people that are in need within our community and surrounding areas.
