This advisory group operates as a review panel for proposed changes to the Canopy MLS Rules and Regulations. The group also assesses staff-reviewed technologies and advises the Canopy Executive Committee and Canopy MLS Board of Directors on product usability and member benefits. Previous Member of Professional Standards Committee. This committee of the Canopy Realtor® Association conducts ethics and arbitration hearings as well as MLS compliance and appeal hearings. Three member volunteers are chosen to serve on each hearing panel. The panel listens to live testimony, asks questions and reviews evidence to render a decision on whether a party has violated the Realtor® Code of Ethics, is entitled to a sum of money (arbitration) or, in the case of MLS compliance appeal hearings, whether the fine issued by MLS Compliance was issued in error.
