Support for Homeowners Impacted by the Park Fire
Last summer’s explosive Park Fire destroyed and damaged hundreds of homes and displaced families in its path across Butte and Tehama counties. For those still working to recover‚ a new resource is available to lighten the load.
The CalAssist Mortgage Fund is a state-funded program that offers up to three months of mortgage payment assistance‚ with a maximum benefit of $20‚000. These funds are available to homeowners whose primary residence was destroyed or rendered uninhabitable by a qualifying disaster like the Park Fire. Best of all‚ the funds do not need to be repaid.
This program represents an important step toward supporting long-term recovery for families affected by wildfire. Funds are limited and available on a first-come‚ first-served basis‚ so act quickly if you think you may qualify.
Visit CalAssistMortgageFund.org to learn more and apply today.
As we continue through fire season‚ this is also a good time to review your household’s emergency plan and make sure your go-bag is stocked and ready. Being prepared can make all the difference in an emergency.
