Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we take a moment to honor the memory of the millions of innocent lives lost during one of history's darkest times. On January 27, 1945, Auschwitz was liberated, revealing the extent of the suffering and reminding us how important it is to stand against hate, intolerance, and discrimination in all forms.

The roots of this tragedy began when some believed certain lives mattered less. As we remember the victims—six million Jewish men, women, and children, along with many others—we also reflect on the importance of kindness, understanding, and respecting everyone’s rights.

My dad was part of the liberation troops when he served in the army during WWII. His experience reminds us of the courage and sacrifices made to bring freedom and justice.

Let’s keep the spirit of “Never Again” alive by promoting love, tolerance, and compassion every day. Today, we honor the memory of those who suffered and commit to creating a more inclusive and respectful world for all.
