I’ve been trying to come up with the right blend of healthier oils to use in place of lard. This batch I made with canola. Making another batch of spicy red chile chicken with avocado shortening to make my masa (i use maseca white bag, baking powder, salt, my chicken broth, and canola oil. I’ll keep you posted with the new results using avocado shortening. This canola masa is outstanding so not sure if the avocado shortening will beat it 👍❤️
