What if Jesus was a real estate investor?
✨ What if heaven owned apartment complexes?
Most of my life, I thought faith belonged in church.
That the people who really followed Jesus became pastors or missionaries.
Everyone else just worked “normal” jobs.
But what if business was sacred ground?
What if real estate was part of God’s redemptive strategy?
📉 Much of the world’s brokenness flows from leaders chasing profit over purpose.
🌍 I believe God wants to partner with His people to renew the world — business included.
Here are 11 ways I'm aligning real estate with Kingdom values:
🏡 1. Create dignified living spaces
Safe, clean homes you'd be proud to offer your own family.
🌿 2. Design for rest and restoration
Incorporate beauty, nature, and peace into your spaces — green areas, quiet corners, prayer gardens. Reflect God’s heart for rest and order.
📋 3. Operate with integrity
Be ethical and honest in every interaction with contractors, vendors, and employees. Excellence and trust are Kingdom values.
🤝 4. Build community on purpose
Host events like barbecues or block parties. When people know their neighbors, turnover drops and quality of life rises.
🌸 5. Partner with local churches
Tutoring programs, food drives, or even home church gatherings.
🙏 6. Pray over your property
As a landlord, pray for your residents. Bless your properties. Steward the spiritual climate, not just the physical space.
💼 7. Be radically generous in crisis
Set aside an amount to forgive rent in emergencies or offer financial help through donor-advised funds or a 501(c)(3). This builds trust and reflects the heart of Christ. Financial help should also be combined with financial education.
📅 8. Think long-term, not short-term
Prioritize the long-term prosperity of your tenants over short-term profit. Reward loyal tenants with homeownership assistance — like $5k toward a down payment — to help them leave renting behind.
📚 9. Offer financial literacy
Host free budgeting, credit, and homebuying classes. Break cycles of poverty and raise up new stewards.
🧰 10. Partner with nonprofits
Bring job placement services, addiction recovery, or counseling resources into your community. Treat people as whole beings, not rent checks.
🚀 11. Let the Holy Spirit lead
Ask God for wisdom in every deal, every hire, every step. Sometimes Kingdom leadership means walking away from profit for the sake of integrity — and trusting Him to provide elsewhere.
