May we tell you how we can help make inflation work for you??

Did you know inflation touches everything? This includes purchasing artwork. No matter where you go, you will be paying an increase on the artwork you fell in love with, as all Galleries, Auction Houses, Tourist Shops, and Individuals / Private Sales have to sell at prices that will cover their costs of inflation.

This means that Yes you will have to pay more to buy art, it also means that your Artwork likely will not be properly covered by your Insurance company. Think About This: If something happens to your artwork now, you will have to find the right seller to replace your damaged, burned, stolen, or lost artwork. You will end up paying current inflation on top of re-purchasing your beloved art. Your Insurance Coverage should show the increased Value as well. You don’t want to cover the inflation rates out of your own pocket, right? That is the whole reason why you have INSURANCE COVERAGE.

Researching your art, Yourself, Is a Bad Idea... Find the value on artwork you own may not be as easy as you believe. There are a hundred different factors you have to take in to make sure you find exactly what you need. For example there are thousands of artists out there from hundreds of years ago to present. You will find multiple names that are the same; however, they are different artist. How do you know which one is your artist? They could have worked with the same medium, same style, same era even. This is just one factor you have to consider.
Another factor is why do you want to know the Value? Curiosity.....Insurance...To Sell it... these are just a few reasons on why you may need the value. Depending on why you need the value, you may have to have an appraisal completed by a Professional Fine Arts Appraiser in order to accomplish what you need. In March my firm went to an ISA convention in Houston where we were in attendance for some great speakers and met wonderful people!! We shared a little about one of our favorite speakers. He represents the Monuments Men and Woman, the organization of those who are actively searching for the lost and stolen artwork from World War II.
