Silver Strand residents joined their district team at the September "Stars & Smiles" Community Expo where they connected with local community partners and received free resources! 8 families won various door prizes AND several partners were in attendance, including US Karate Academy, Brightview Landscaping, First Command Financial Services, Fleet & Family Support Center – Naval Base Coronado, Marine Corps Recruit Depot MCCS, Navy Child & Youth Programs – School Liaison Program, Navy Federal Credit Union, North Island Credit Union, and Support The Enlisted Project (STEP).

New Liberty residents experienced an unforgettable day aboard the historic Old Town Trolley. The tour highlighted some of San Diego’s most iconic destinations: La Jolla and Mt. Soledad, Pacific Beach and Belmont Park, Vacation Isle, Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter, Horton Plaza, Seaport Village, Embarcadero, Little Italy, Balboa Park, and Coronado Ferry Landing with the legendary Hotel Del Coronado, and more! Midday, participants enjoyed a delicious lunch at the beautiful Tidelands Park in Coronado before continuing their scenic journey. It was a day filled with breathtaking views, rich history, and meaningful connections.

USAA discussed practical, age-appropriate ways to talk about money, build smart saving habits, and help kids gain confidence in making financial decisions. This event was hosted via Zoom where four lucky residents from San Diego won a $50 Amazon e-gift card at the end of the presentation. + each winner from El Centro, Seal Beach, China Lake, Ventura, Lemoore, and Fallon.
