🚨CCISD SCHOOL CLOSURES WILL SHAKE UP HIGH SCHOOLS - HERE’S WHO WINS & WHO LOSES STUDENTS

Corpus Christi ISD may not be closing any high schools but make no mistake, the impact is coming. After the board voted to close seven campuses, attendance boundaries are shifting for 2026-27, and some high schools will grow… while others shrink.

📈 Moody High School is projected to GAIN nearly 200 students — potentially pushing it toward 5A numbers in future UIL realignment.

📉 Miller High School could LOSE around 285 students.

📈 Ray High School is expected to GAIN students; possibly growing to more than 1,700 enrollment.

📉 Carroll High School could DROP to around 1,699 students.

🏫 King and Veterans Memorial will NOT be directly impacted.

What does this mean? Athletics. UIL classifications. Funding. Programs. Staffing. School identity.

Some families who expected to attend one high school are now zoned for another.

This won’t affect UIL realignment until 2028-29 — but the ripple effects start next school year.
