🔑 5-Year Renewal Rule: Senate Bill 1801 now requires homeowners to reapply for their homestead exemption every 5 years, ensuring they still qualify.

👀 Appraisal District Reviews: Chief appraisers must now periodically verify exemptions. Homeowners will receive notices instructing them to reapply if needed.
