She attended the University of Kansas, ROCK CHALK, and went on to graduate nursing school at Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. They married in 2017 and welcomed their first baby in 2020. Byron, a mechanical engineer, accepted a position with ExxonMobil, which has led them first to Louisiana, and now Texas! Before real estate, Sara was a full time registered nurse at Baton Rouge General where she gained many skills in time management, critical thinking, professionalism, communication, leadership, and problem solving. As much as she loved caring for her patients and growing herself in the ever-changing environment of healthcare, she felt she wanted more of a challenge. To achieve this, she made a switch to work as a nurse in the operating room with an elite team performing Heart and Vascular surgeries for the Greater Baton Rouge area. In both of her nursing positions, communication was everything! She loved these experiences and worked with some highly talented and very intelligent professionals. Those time management skills she learned as a nurse came in handy as she later started classes to add REALTOR to her resume! Nursing was a very rewarding profession, yet she missed the interaction with patients and family members that the operating room did not provide. She began to acknowledge the fact that she always had an interest in real estate, home design, and remodeling. She thought, if she could pair her passion for helping others with her real estate interests, she'd be set for life! She quickly began her real estate career with Keller Williams.
