Michael Shelly decided to create an education provider for Realtors and Brokers. Shelly is a Real Estate attorney in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also the lawyer for Stewart Title Company of Corpus Christ and Port Aransas, Texas. The main instructor for The MCE Professionals has been Judith Storms, a licensed Realtor since 1992. The MCE Professionals was certified by the Texas Real Estate Commission as Provider # 0626. Judith Storms was certified as an instructor by TREC.

Some agents have to have Legal Update II before the end of this year (2018) because of TAR's new requirement for Ethics every two years.
I am doing Legal Update II (ethics) On Thursday, Dec 13 from 9:00-1:00.
If you need me to help you check to see if you need it I will be happy to do that.

Brokers Take note:

CHANGES TO THE CONSUMER INFORMATION
FORM
Brokers are currently required by law to display the Consumer Information Form
in a prominent location in each place of business maintained by the broker, to inform consumers of their
ability to file a complaint with TREC and the availability of the real estate recovery fund.

Effective February 1, 2016, brokers will also be required to include a link to that form on the
homepage of their business website. The link must be in at least 10 point font, a readily
noticeable place on the home page and must be labeled
"Texas Real Estate Commission Consumer Protection Notice.”

The revised contract forms have finally been posted for voluntary use. They should be on your Zip Forms but for sure you can find them on the TREC website. They become mandatory on January 1, 2016
