It's not great for you, but tell me...

What is your favorite junk food? Does it have any nostalgia behind it or do you just love the way it tastes?

I don't feel like I have one junk food in particular, but periodically I crave a grocery store basic ice cream sandwich or a boxed cake or instant pudding.

It feels kinda weird that this day is smack dab in the middle of summer and would feel more at home closer to the holidays, but if you like sugar cookies, today is for YOU! But perhaps put a summer twist on this delightful treat.
Sit around a fire pit and sandwich a toasted marshmallow and a small dollop of your favorite berry jam or lemon curd for an elevated s'more?
Or place your favorite ice cream in between two cookies for an ice cream sandwich!
What else could you do with some sugar cookies to make them more summery?

Happy 250th Birthday, U.S.A.! Hope you have a wonderful holiday filled with fun, good people, and delicious food. And it's also a good time to reflect on the history of our country, where it currently is, and what we would like to see for the future. We have come a long way in the last 250 years, but still have much more work to do.
