🏡 A fresh chapter for a historic home on Walnut Street!

We’re excited to show off the finished interior renovations at 419 E. Walnut St. in Corydon! Unfortunately, we didn’t take interior “before” photos—but we hope you enjoy these “after” and "almost after" photos. We’re proud of the work that went into giving this home a fresh start.

This home has a story worth sharing. Known as the Thomas-Schneider House, it stands on land purchased in 1897 by Andrew J. Thomas, a farmer and timber dealer. His brother, James Thomas, built an identical house right next door at 425 E. Walnut Street—and BTB manages that home, too!

Historic records describe this one-story cottage as a classic example of Corydon homes from the late 1890s, with a T-shaped layout, intersecting gables, turned porch posts, decorative brackets, spindle trim, fish-scale shingles, and sunburst details. So much character in one little home!

The interior is finished, and there’s more work to come on the exterior. Stay tuned as we continue this Walnut Street transformation! 🛠️
