🚨 URGENT: HELP FIND WESLEY!
The American Eagle Foundation (AEF) is still searching for Wesley, one of our missing female bald eagles, and they need your eyes on the skies (and the trees) in the Smoky Mountains!
Wesley has a chronic shoulder injury, which means her wings might look a little "off" or uneven when she’s resting or flying. Because of this, she likely hasn’t traveled far from the Dollywood/Pigeon Forge area.
🦅 How to Identify Wesley:
• The Band: Look for a black leg band.
• The Silhouette: Watch for uneven wing positioning due to her shoulder injury.
• The Location: Likely staying close to the immediate vicinity of Dollywood.
🛑 If You Spot Her:
1. Keep Your Distance: Do not approach, feed, or try to catch her. We want to keep her calm!
2. Snap a Photo: If you can do so safely, photos or videos are huge for helping our team confirm it’s her.
3. Report Instantly: * Call: 865-429-0157
• Message: DM them directly on Facebook with your GPS coordinates or a nearby address.
Note: Please do not call Dollywood dispatch for sightings; keep those lines open for park operations and contact AEF directly!
Bringing Wesley home safely requires around-the-clock resources and specialized care. Every share and every set of eyes helps. Please share and Let’s get her back to the sanctuary! 🦅❤️
