Some mornings aren’t meant for rushing.

They’re meant for listening to the rain on the porch roof, watching the fields drink in every drop, and letting the thunder remind us that nature has a rhythm all its own.

Maybe today isn’t about checking off a to-do list.

Maybe it’s about another cup of coffee. A slow breakfast with family. A good book. A game around the table. A nap while the rain falls outside.

The sunshine will return soon enough.

We had to laugh when we read this one.

Around here, a summer thunderstorm can put on quite a show. The mountains make every rumble echo just a little louder, and before long the sun is back out like nothing ever happened.

It’s all part of the Smoky Mountain experience. 🌧️⛰️❤️

The chairs are waiting.

Right now, the porch is quiet.

No laughter.
No stories.
No grandchildren running through the yard.

Just a few empty rocking chairs and the sound of the countryside.

But not for long.

Soon, someone will pull into the driveway.

Then another.

And another.

Coffee will be poured.
Pictures will be taken.
Old stories will be retold.
