The park is coming back.

If you've been driving down Victoria lately, you've noticed Ketchum Libolt Park is basically gone right now. Construction. Dirt. It looks rough.

But here's what's happening: this park was named after two Costa Mesa police officers killed in a helicopter crash back in 1987. And it's getting a major upgrade.

New play equipment. Shade shelters. Picnic tables. Drinking fountains. New landscaping and irrigation. Late summer 2026—it's going to open and it's going to be beautiful.

This is what community investment looks like. This is what happens when a city decides to honor its past and build its future.

I saw Star Wars here when I was a kid.

1977 - Late-night showing. Wrapped around the theater. I had no idea what I was getting into.

Fast forward 47 years. Big Newport's coming down. 22-story luxury towers going up instead. 140 units. Prime real estate doesn't wait.

And whether I like it or not, they're right. It's not about nostalgia—it's about what the market demands.

This is what most people miss. Four acres in one of the most valuable areas of Newport Beach. COVID decimated theater attendance. Streaming changed everything. But the land? The land never goes out of style.

100 X My Money: How My Family Built Generational Wealth.

Real estate isn't a mystery to me. It's in my DNA. 🧬

Four generations of women building wealth through leverage, tax benefits, and the power of equity. My great-grandmother didn't wait for permission.
