A little secret… even as a Realtor, I spent years waiting for the “perfect time” to buy.

I watched rates. I watched prices. I ran the numbers over and over.

Now that we’re homeowners, I can tell you this: what I remember isn’t the interest rate.

It’s watching my family make memories in a place that’s ours.

Most people don’t need another sales pitch. They just need someone to help them understand their options.

Confession time: We were renters until last year.

Yep. A real estate agent renting a home. I know… kind of ironic.

For years, we waited. We watched interest rates, home prices, and market predictions. Like a lot of people, I kept thinking, “Maybe we’ll buy when rates come down.”

But eventually I sat down and ran the numbers.

What I realized was that while I was waiting for the “perfect” time to buy, I was paying thousands of dollars every month toward someone else’s mortgage and building zero equity of my own.

Was our interest rate perfect? Nope.

Would I love a lower rate someday? Absolutely.

But the equity we’ve already built, the stability of owning our home, and having a place that’s truly ours made waiting any longer not worth it.

I’m not saying buying is right for everyone. But if you’ve been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the market to be perfect, it might be worth taking a closer look at what waiting is actually costing you.
