Before and after on a pond treatment plan. Pond was covered with filamentous algae making the pond pretty ugly and difficult to fish. A multi step Algaecide application and a liquid UV block cleaned it up very well. No harmful chemicals used.

Spreading premium ag lime this week. This Ready-Cal lime has 85% of material passing thru a 100 mesh screen, that means extremely fast reaction time in the soil versus waiting months for larger particle lime to break down. Less tonnage is also needed per acre for equal crop response. Neutralizing soil acidity with lime can increase nutrient/fertilizer uptake significantly helping your crops produce more quality forage per acre as well as increasing drought and stress tolerance.

Nitrogen additives can be very helpful to late summer herbicide applications for quicker and more thorough burn down.

42 acre Livestock pasture re-conditioning this week. Landowners has very little grass production and several invasive species taking over including Autumn Olive, Multi-Flora Rose, Dog Fennel, Sourwood and Blackberry.

Fields are cut to remove old vegetation and new re-growth sprayed with selective herbicides to remove competition from invasives to increase grass production and herd health.

Finished up a privacy screen job using tall grass species down a road to limit poaching on this property. Outside edge planted in perennial native grasses from and inside edge planted in annual hybrid pearl millet and Egyptian wheat. 7/10ths of a mile planted @ 40ft in width.
