Yes, but maybe not for the reason you think.

An open house can give buyers an easy, low-pressure opportunity to experience a home in person. It can also create additional exposure and give your agent valuable feedback about how buyers are responding to the property.

But simply putting out an “Open House” sign isn’t a complete selling strategy.

The bigger question is whether an open house makes sense for your home, your market, and your overall plan.

Every seller’s goals are different.

And the marketing strategy should be, too. Let’s build the right strategy for your home.

I’ve been involved in enough home searches to know that preparation matters. Before you start scrolling through listings, start with the bigger picture.

A home search isn’t just about finding a house you love. It’s about knowing what makes sense for you before the emotions of house hunting take over.

Get clear on three things first:

Your budget. Know what you’re comfortable spending, not just the maximum you may qualify for.

Your priorities. Decide what you truly need versus what would simply be nice to have.

Your timeline. You don’t need an exact moving date, but understanding what’s driving the move can help shape the entire strategy.

What actually makes it the right time to move?

It’s usually not a headline telling you the market is “good” or “bad.”

That perfect time has much more to do with you than it does the market.

Your goals. Your finances. Your lifestyle. What you need from your next home. And whether the move you’re considering makes sense for the chapter you’re in.

Markets change. Interest rates change. Inventory changes. There will always be another reason to wonder if you should wait.

The better question is: Do you understand your options well enough to make a confident decision?

09/08/2026

A lot of people put off buying or selling because they feel like they need to wait until the "perfect" time or have every detail planned out first.

In reality, the first step is often just a conversation. Whether you're thinking about moving next month or next year, asking questions early can help you understand your options, avoid surprises, and create a plan that fits your goals.

There's never any pressure. Just honesty, clear communication, and the support you need to move forward with confidence when the time is right.

If a move has been on your mind, let's start with a conversation.

From the outside, it might look like we're just checking our phones. In reality, this is where a lot of the work happens.

We're confirming showings, following up with buyers' agents, coordinating with lenders and title companies, inviting neighbors to upcoming open houses, networking with other agents, answering client questions, and making sure every detail stays on track.

Selling a home takes much more than putting a sign in the yard. Those conversations may not always be visible, but they're often what make the biggest difference.

Be honest... did you think we were just checking Instagram?

One of the biggest misconceptions about real estate is that you need to have everything figured out before you reach out.

The truth is, you don't.

Whether you're buying your first home, selling after years in the same place, or simply exploring your options, asking questions is one of the smartest things you can do. Every transaction is different, and understanding your options is what leads to confident decisions.

After more than 25 years helping clients across the Salt Lake Valley, one thing has remained the same: the best outcomes start with honest conversations and clear guidance.

What's one question you've always wanted to ask a agent?

Some of the most important work we do happens long before a showing or closing.

Reviewing contracts.
Staying ahead of deadlines.
Problem-solving before challenges become problems.
Communicating with lenders, title, inspectors, and everyone involved to help keep your transaction moving forward.

A smooth experience doesn't happen by accident. It comes from preparation, collaboration, and paying attention to the details clients shouldn't have to worry about.

Our job is to stay one step ahead, so you can focus on what's next.

People often think real estate is about finding the perfect house. But after more than 25 years, I've learned it's really about understanding people.

Every client has different goals, a different timeline, and a different definition of what "home" means. My job isn't to tell you what to do. It's to help you understand your options, make confident decisions, and guide you through every step along the way.

That's the part of this work I still love most.

Real estate is personal.

Behind every showing, negotiation, and closing is a team working together to help clients move forward with confidence.

Whether we're walking to a meeting, touring properties, or talking through strategy between appointments, our focus stays the same: making sure every client feels informed, supported, and well represented.

Helping people buy and sell homes is what we do. Building relationships that last long after closing is what matters most.

Message us with your biggest buying or selling question.

No two real estate journeys look the same, and they shouldn't.

Some people are ready to buy today. Others are just beginning to explore what's possible. Some are planning months ahead, while others are navigating a major life change and need a clear path forward.

My job isn't to rush your timeline. It's to help you understand your options, answer your questions, and create a plan that feels right for you.

After more than 25 years helping people buy, sell, and invest across the Salt Lake Valley, I've learned that the best decisions come from confidence, not pressure.

Whenever you're ready, I'll be here to help guide the next chapter.
