Congratulations to the Jones Family!! Closing day + surprise gifts?? I’m unwell (in the best way). They showed up with a car travel bag catered for a woman that lives in her car (my type A heart is thriving) cake gift card that I absolutely plan to demolish, and Rosati’s Pizza gift cards because apparently my personality is now just ā€œreal estate + pizza.ā€ Accurate.
But beyond all of that, these are just exceptional humans. The kind you don’t forget and absolutely want in your world long after closing.
This job is a lot of things… but moments like this are my favorite part.
So grateful for you guys šŸ¤ homes

The Palace in Zaragoza stopped us in our tracks. Built in the 11th century by the Muslim Banu Hud dynasty it’s one of the most important examples of Moorish architecture in Spain outside of Andalusia. Horseshoe arches, intricate geometric carvings, quiet courtyards literally every corner looks like it belongs in a history book.
What’s fascinating about this part of Spain is that even during centuries of Muslim rule, many locals remained Christian (often called Mozarabs) and continued practicing their faith. Then in 1118 Zaragoza was retaken during the and the palace eventually became a residence for the Christian kings of . So walking through it you’re literally seeing layers of Islamic, Christian, and Spanish royal history all in one place.
It’s wild to think this palace has been standing here for nearly a thousand years, watching empires come and go.

Som more random street shots then …. Lunch in Zaragoza at , which is a restaurant designed to feel like you’ve stepped into the wild landscapes of New Zealand. The whole place is immersive …think forests, little cabins, waterfalls, caves, glowing lights … and you actually walk through different nature ā€œscenesā€ before reaching your table.

The Voltereta group does this concept in several cities across Spain, with each restaurant inspired by a different place in the world. They have locations themed around places like and Tanzania

So it’s not just lunch… it’s basically a tiny trip somewhere else in the middle of Zaragoza. Honestly felt a little like wandering into a Lord of the Rings forest and then someone hands you a menu. 🌿

Day trip to The in Zaragoza is one of Spain’s most important pilgrimage sites and honestly one of the most stunning churches I’ve ever stepped into. According to tradition the Virgin Mary appeared here to the Apostle James around the year 40 AD, standing on a marble pillar… which is where the name comes from.

The current basilica dates mostly to the 1600s and 1700s, with those huge baroque domes lining the skyline along the Ebro River. Inside is the small chapel that holds the statue of Our Lady of the Pillar, which pilgrims have been visiting for centuries.

It’s one of those places where the scale hits you immediately… soaring ceilings, gold everywhere, frescoes by and people quietly lighting candles. You walk in thinking you’ll ā€œjust look aroundā€ and suddenly you’re standing there for a while taking it all in.
