For the second year in a row, Utah was named the best state in the nation based on metrics which measured health care, education, economy, infrastructure, opportunity, fiscal stability, crime and corrections, and natural environment.

Of note, Utah also has a low unemployment rate at 2.8% compared to the national average of 3.8%

Yes..... that is a castle.... in WYOMING!

DON’T FORGET! The Hungry food truck roundup at Crane Plaza (5355 W Herriman Main St) is held every Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

During 2024, the roundup will run from April 22 - October 7.

Developers have started moving dirt in ’s South Hills.

There are two large projects proposed for the area between Wasatch South Hills Development LLC and DAI. Utah. As of an update to the Herriman City Council in February, the developers were working to join efforts on portions of their projects and infrastructure in the area.

Panorama development

The Council received an update on the Panorama development application. Panorama is a proposed 600+ acre development along the south side of Mountain View Corridor near the end of Juniper Crest Road. The development company, DAI Utah, is working with several property owners in the area to consolidate into one project. They are proposing residential housing, commercial area, open space, and a location for a school. The project will go through a public process through the Planning Commission and the City Council in coming months.

Wasatch-South Hills master development agreement

The City Council received an update on a proposed change to the existing Wasatch-South Hills master development agreement. Wasatch-South Hills and Panorama are proposing to work together with some property swaps and collaborate on funding for infrastructure within their projects. The Wasatch-South Hills developer is proposing to add some areas to their existing agreement, and adding some residential units while slightly decreasing overall housing density in their plan. This item will come back again when there is more clarity to what they're requesting to change and will go through a usual public process.

Duckling rescue in this beautiful Earth Day 2024!

I was in between properties today when I caught the tail end of a duckling rescue by a member of the Sandy City Animal Services Sandy City.

As soon as all her babies were accounted for, mama went quackin’ on her way.
