Airbnb Supports Friends of the Verde River with $30,000 Community Fund Grant

The Northern Arizona Airbnb Host Community is thrilled to announce that Friends of the Verde River ( www.verderiver.org ) has been awarded a $30,000 grant from Airbnb’s Community Fund. Our group nominated this outstanding organization because of its dedication to preserving and restoring one of our region’s most precious natural resources.

The Verde River is vital to our local ecosystem and a cherished destination for our guests, who enjoy activities like kayaking, birdwatching, and hiking. Friends of the Verde River plays a crucial role in conservation efforts, from habitat restoration to educational initiatives like the upcoming Verde Valley Birding and Nature Festival in April—an event where many of our members have volunteered.

We look forward to deepening our partnership with Friends of the Verde River by continuing to support their programs and encouraging both our hosts and guests to engage with their mission. Together, we can ensure the Verde River remains a source of inspiration, recreation, and natural beauty for generations to come.
