We had a wonderful stay for a birthday weekend celebrating a 60th and 79th birthday with 11 adults. The house was a great fit for our group—comfortable, welcoming, and with plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy being together.The location was fantastic—super close to downtown Cottonwood for restaurants, shops, and exploring, and only about 10 minutes from the Verde Canyon Railroad, which was so much fun!Our host was responsive, helpful, and made everything easy from start to finish. It was a great home base for a memorable weekend, and we’d absolutely recommend it for a larger group or family celebration. We’d happily stay again!

I stayed here with my family for my birthday. It was the perfect airbnb! We loved the fact that we each had our own private area with plenty of shared outdoor space to relax. This is perfect for families or a couples trip!

The History of Eden House:
The property is officially identified by the City of Cottonwood's historic inventory as the “Edens Residence,” dating to 1938. That is important because it means this isn't simply an old house that has acquired the Eden name—the Eden family is directly associated with the property. The house sits in what became the heart of Old Town Cottonwood, during an important period in the town's development. Cottonwood was growing rapidly in the 1930s as agriculture, mining and commerce expanded in the Verde Valley. The 1938 construction date also explains why the house has a somewhat different character from the earliest Cottonwood buildings. It represents the later residential development of Old Town rather than the town's original pioneer period.

The Eden Connection:
The name Eden House appears to come from the Eden family/residence, rather than from a hotel or commercial establishment. The historic designation identifies it as the Edens Residence, and the present-day property is still described as a renovated historic home. What's particularly interesting is that 748 N. Wedding season is upon us: Whether it is Alcantara Vineyards and Winery, The Barn at UVX Rustic Ranch or somewhere in the beautiful Sedona area, The Prickly Pear Guest House is the place to stay for your big day!

We rented the entire house when we came up north to get married at Alcantara Vineyards. Big enough to stay with our bridal party and we absolutely loved this spot! If you are getting married nearby, I would HIGHLY recommend! There was 3 separate living areas, and a laundry room with a rack to hang our dresses and jackets. Great space to iron and steam. We stayed a couple days and was walking distance from food and coffee, it was wonderful! I couldn’t recommend this house enough! Kristen was helpful and responsive. Thank you for the beautiful stay💕

We had an amazing stay at The Prickly Pear Guesthouse! The home was the perfect size for our group of eight. Spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location truly can’t be beat: walking distance to tasting rooms, shops, and restaurants, which made our weekend so easy and fun. The owners were incredibly responsive and accommodating, answering questions quickly and making sure everything was seamless from check-in to check-out. I would definitely book this home again!
