One of the things I love most about this industry is that we’re all in it together.

This morning, another moving company gave us a call. They had a truck arriving from San Diego, but one of their scheduled unloaders didn’t show up. Their client was waiting, the truck was loaded, and they needed help.

Without hesitation, we sent one of our guys over.

The mover had driven all the way from California to take care of his customer, and we were honored to help get the job across the finish line.

Moments like these remind me that while companies may compete for business, professionalism, relationships, and doing right by the customer should always come first.

I also love the opportunity to connect with other movers, learn new tips and tricks, share experiences, and continue building relationships throughout the industry. There is always something to learn from people who care about their craft.

Some relationships in business become more than transactions.

For the last 11 years, New Haven Moving Equipment has been one of those relationships for me.

From our early days with a truck trailer and a dream to building Thanks for the Help into what it is today, they’ve always been there with the boxes, pads, shrink wrap, straps, specialty equipment, and everything else needed to keep us moving forward.

🚨 Moving Industry Warning – Stay Sharp 🚨

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office just arrested two individuals connected to a $60,000 moving theft right here in Cornville.

A customer hired movers to transport belongings from Utah to Scottsdale…
Instead, those movers allegedly diverted the truck, broke into it, and stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of property.

Let that sink in.

⚠️ Not everyone with a truck is a mover.

And theft isn’t the only problem…

💥 The biggest scam in the moving industry:

You get quoted something like:
👉 “$5,000 to move to Florida”

Sounds like a deal.

Reality?
That’s often a $15,000–$20,000 move minimum.
