Warwick, R.I. – November 20, 2025 – In October, single-family home sales in the Ocean State dropped 6.6% from 12 months earlier, and pending sales - a strong indicator of sales activity ahead - dropped 11.4%.

“We were in a holding pattern in October. The government shutdown delayed some closings so we could see sales rebound towards the end of the year. But, with economic uncertainty brewing, prospective buyers are more tentative than ever. The situation is particularly hard for first-time buyers, who now make up only 24% of the buying market,” said Michael Pereira, President of RIAR.

• Visit our KWAOR office at 2240 South County Trail, Ste. 3 in East Greenwich to pick up your Star(s).
• Pack each person's gift in a bag, and feel free to add something extra.
• Deliver your gift bag(s) to the KWAOR Office, with the Star stapled to the gift bag(s).

Gift bags are due by 4 PM on Friday, December 6th. Let’s work together to make this a memorable holiday season for our seniors! 🌟

Warwick, R.I. – October 17, 2024 – The median price of single-family homes sold in September climbed 6.6% year-over-year, continuing a trend in Rhode Island that began in February 2017.

Sales activity has shown signs of slowing down and though that would typically put some downward pressure on prices, they are expected to remain elevated due to the pent-up demand caused by the housing shortage. Inventory continues to creep upward - now at a 2.4-month supply - an improvement from a year ago but still critically low.
