🛠️ Homeowner Tip Tuesday

Winter can be tough on driveways — especially gravel ones.

Between snow removal, plowing, and freeze-thaw cycles, it’s common for driveways to shift, rut, or lose their proper slope.

Now add the coming spring rain… and those small issues turn into washouts fast.

Things to watch for:

✔️ Ruts or low spots where water sits
✔️ Gravel pushed to the sides from plowing
✔️ Water running down the driveway instead of off to the side
✔️ Edges washing away after heavy rain

A driveway should be shaped so water runs off, not straight down it. Regrading helps restore the slope, improve drainage, and protect the base underneath.

Fixing it now can prevent bigger damage once spring storms really get going.
Reach out to KPR if your driveway needs regrading or drainage improvements.

🛠️ Homeowner Tip Tuesday

Water should always move away from your house — not toward it.

Poor drainage around your foundation can lead to standing water, basement moisture, and long-term structural issues.

Things to watch for:
✔️ Water pooling near the foundation after rain
✔️ Soil washing away around your home
✔️ Mulch or dirt constantly shifting
✔️ Basement walls feeling damp or musty

Your yard should slope slightly away from the house so water naturally drains outward. Small grading fixes now can prevent major repairs later.

❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day to my favorite person.

Between running jobs, fixing things, and chasing kids around, life stays busy — and I’m thankful every day I’ve got her by my side through all of it.

She helps keep everything together behind the scenes, supports the long days, and somehow still believes in all the plans and ideas.

Grateful for my partner in life, in business, and in all the chaos in between. 💛

🛠️ Homeowner Tip Tuesday

Your dryer works hard — and a little maintenance can make a big difference.

To help keep it running safely and efficiently:

✔️ Clean the lint trap after every load
✔️ Check the dryer vent hose and outside vent for lint buildup
✔️ Make sure the vent is pushing air fully outside
✔️ Don’t ignore the “check vent” warning on your dryer
✔️ Pay attention if clothes start taking longer to dry

Blocked airflow causes heat to build up, which can damage your dryer and become a fire risk over time.

Simple checks like these help protect your home and extend the life of your appliances.

👋 Welcome to KPR

I’m Casey — a lifelong Northern Kentucky local, husband, and dad of two.

I’ve been working in remodeling and property improvements in this area for nearly 20 years. Over the years, that’s grown into real estate investing and providing well-maintained housing for families in Kenton and Campbell Counties, which is something that really matters to our family.

KPR handles everything from home updates and remodeling to driveway regrading, drainage, ditches, and culverts — practical work that helps homes and properties function the way they should.

I’ll be sharing helpful homeowner tips and project info here regularly. Thanks for following along and supporting a local small business.
