Over the past year, I’ve poured every ounce of myself into transforming our home.

When we bought this place in 2020, I felt hope, but wasn’t sure what that was going to look or feel like. Since then, life has happened. There have been seasons of joy, heartbreak, uncertainty, growth, and more challenges than I ever imagined.

Balancing motherhood, career(s), finances, and the constant exhaustion that comes with doing so much on your own hasn’t been easy. There were nights I questioned if I’d ever catch up and weekends that became project lists instead of rest. More times than I can count, I wanted to be finished, but I never wanted to quit.

Because this was never really about the house.

It was about creating a place where my children feel safe. A place where we can walk through the front door, let out a deep breath, and simply be together. A place filled with warmth, peace, laughter, and the feeling that they are home.

Watching them melt into the couch after a long day or find little corners of the house they love most has reminded me that every sacrifice was worth it.

There are still projects waiting for me, and there probably always will be, but for the first time, I’m giving myself permission to pause. To stop chasing perfection and start appreciating what we’ve built.

I’m incredibly grateful. Not because everything is finished, but because this home is living proof that little by little, day by day, hard work, faith, and refusing to give up can create something more beautiful than I ever imagined.

This isn’t just the home I dreamed of.

It’s the life I fought for ❤️
