After less than a year of ownership, my new homeowners realized their new commute was not conducive to having a happy lifestyle at home - or at all really. This is the case for 3 out of every 4 homebuyers who bought during the pandemic 😷 housing market, as many felt rushed into purchases due to market pressures.
Today, a new family calls their home, home - we just closed today, selling 1️⃣7️⃣% higher than we purchased for last summer. This is a BIG ASS deal truthfully… Homes don’t normally appreciate that much, meaning you’d be underwater on your investment selling so soon. Seller closing costs alone can be 7-10% of the sales price, so there usually isn’t room for profit after a few months without doing a major renovation of some sort.
More than the money though, my clients now have peace of mind with a much shorter commute which will translate to a better quality of life. They also live closer to me now 😌
I am here to tell you that it is always ok to throw the Reverse 🔄 card on a decision that you made, no matter how large or significant that choice was. Living in your truth starts with being honest about where you are, so that you can take the required actions to get where you need to be.
