🏡✨ A Closing Over 5+ Years in the Making! ✨🏡

Last week, I had the privilege of handing the keys to my incredible buyer as she purchased her very first home!
This closing is especially meaningful because this journey didn’t start a few months ago, it started over 5 years ago. My buyer has been working alongside myself and loan officer, Jen Jacques , for more than five years, staying committed to her goal of homeownership and trusting the process every step of the way. When the right home finally came along, we were ready! In a competitive multiple-offer situation, we secured the home, utilized the Rhode Island Housing Down Payment Assistance Program, and negotiated $10,000 in seller-paid closing cost credits. The result? My buyer purchased her first home and came to the closing table with $0 out of pocket and still had a little left over to buy down points on her interest rate!

A huge part of today’s success belongs to Jen. From the very beginning, she helped guide my buyer, create a plan, answer countless questions, and provide the encouragement and expertise needed to turn what once felt like a distant goal into a reality. Her dedication, patience, and commitment to helping this buyer prepare for homeownership over the years truly made all the difference. This closing is a testament to the relationships we build and the long-term support that helps buyers succeed.

Some closings are about real estate, Others are about family, memories, and honoring a lifetime of history. This was one of those closings.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my seller for trusting me to help with the sale of his childhood home. This wasn’t just another property, it was the home where he was raised, where countless family memories were made, and where his parents built a life together. They were the only owners this home had ever known, making this transition especially meaningful.

Selling a family home is never easy. It means saying goodbye to a place filled with stories, traditions, milestones, and memories that can never be replaced. Throughout this process, my seller handled every decision with thoughtfulness, patience, and tremendous care for the home that meant so much to his family. It was truly an honor to help him navigate this emotional chapter and ensure his parents’ beloved home found the right next owner.

I’m especially happy that the home’s next chapter will be written by an Army veteran who immediately recognized the warmth and character that made this property so special. Knowing that another family will continue to love and care for this home makes this closing even more rewarding.
