We are also husband and wife, and we have been married since 1978. At this time, we would like to tell you a little about ourselves. Joe was born in Boston and has lived in Rhode Island since he was a boy. He attended New York University and has been in the sales and marketing field for over 40 years. During that time, he has had experience in business consulting, business management, business own
ership, and has been a licensed real estate agent since 1987. He has experience marketing both new and pre-owned residential properties. Joe’s most recent position was vice-president and general manager of Western Sand, Inc. where in addition to overseeing the corporation's day-to-day operations he was also responsible for the marketing of the corporation's real estate holdings. When the president of WS&G passed away, Joe was the court appointed administrator whose responsibility it was to liquidate the corporate assets as well as the corporate owned real estate holdings, which included residential, commercial, industrial land and brownfields properties. In the early 1990's, during the Rhode Island banking crisis, Joe was elected vice-president of Citizens For Depositors' Rights and was also co-chairman of The Coalition For Depositors' Rights. Joe was later appointed to the Performance Review Committee of The Depositors Economic Protection Corporation (DEPCO) by the Speaker of The Rhode Island House of Representatives and the following year Joe was appointed by the Governor to the DEPCO Advisory Board. Maryann graduated cm laude from Providence College with a BS Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. While attending Providence College, Maryann’s civic mindedness and dedication was put on display as she was elected Treasurer of the Rhode Island Libertarian Party. Since earning her degree in 1984, Maryann has compiled over twenty five years experience working in both the public and private accounting arenas. During her accounting career, Maryann has held positions as a senior accountant, assistant controller and controller. Her most recent position was as a senior accountant with MetLife. In 2010, Maryann decided to expand her horizons and also become a full-time Realtor. Seeking to become a leader in her new field, her dedication is such that she has studied and earned the GRI designation (Graduate Realtor Institute). You can be sure that Maryann will work as hard and as diligently for you as she has done for her past employers and clients.
