🏡 **34 NEW AFFORDABLE HOMES IN CRESTED BUTTE — AND 67 HOUSEHOLDS HAVE ALREADY EXPRESSED INTEREST.**

That number caught my attention.

The new **Mineral Point housing project in Crested Butte** includes 34 affordable rental units, and according to recent reporting from the Crested Butte News, **67 households had already expressed interest**.

But here's an important distinction:

👉 Formal rental applications had **not yet opened** at the time of the report.

The project is substantially complete, but the Gunnison County Housing Authority is still working through the property-management agreement and final handoff before the formal rental process begins.

The agreement is scheduled to be considered **September 15**.

This is another local housing story I'll be watching closely.

Between Mineral Point, Whetstone, Lower Verzuh and other projects throughout the valley, there's a LOT happening with housing and development in the **Gunnison and Crested Butte area** right now.

I'll keep breaking it down for you as things change.
