Crested Butte is a historic town with mining roots. Many of the homes in town are original miners' cabins and often require significant upgrades. Quite a few homes have been lifted and gutted like this one on Maroon Ave. It's quite impressive to see what can be done while preserving the historic structure.

It was a wild weekend for wildlife. It's always a treat to see local wildlife. Moose sightings are fairly common along the trails and roads surrounding Crested Butte. This Mom and her yearling were enjoying the fall day near Kebler Pass. And this herd of elk is safely gathering in town near the Riverbend neighborhood. They must know it's hunting season!
