Crested Butte has been a part of my life since childhood. My grandfather was fortunate enough to be involved with the development of the ski area and built a home on Mt. And after spending many vacations here with my family, I decided it was time to make Crested Butte my home. So I packed up my car, moved from Atlanta to Crested Butte, and enrolled in Western State College where I graduated with a

degree in Psychology and Sociology. That was 22 years ago and I’ve never looked back! I’m so proud to be a part of this community- the people, the adventure, the breathtaking scenery, and the lifestyle. Whether I’m skiing, hiking, showing property, or simply driving to the office I’m constantly enamored with my surroundings. Real Estate has been an incredibly fulfilling career, as it’s enabled me to live here and to share my enthusiasm with all of you. Since 2005 I’ve represented multiple Buyers’ and Sellers’ throughout the Gunnison Valley in fulfilling their real estate goals and I have personally invested in real estate of my own. My genuine approach and strong work ethic is evident with each transaction and I’ve been fortunate to grow my business every year. Through my experience, honesty, and hard work I have formed strong friendships with my clients and have built relationships that will last a lifetime. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’ve been living here for years, we all share a common bond- our love for Crested Butte. Memorial Day weekend is here, and Crested Butte is kicking off summer with a full lineup of community events. From the inspiring stories and conversations at the Mountain Words Literary Festival, to the adrenaline and grit of the Growler mountain bike race, to the meaningful Memorial Day military march and luncheon, there’s something special happening all weekend long.

As we gather to celebrate, explore, and enjoy everything this incredible place has to offer, it’s also a time for reflection and gratitude for the freedoms we get to enjoy because of those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Spring is doing its thing here in Crested Butte. As the snow continues to melt, trails are drying out, opening up, and calling us back outside for another summer of adventure. From early season hikes to getting the bikes back on dirt, it’s that exciting time of year when conditions can change quickly from day to day.

Before heading out, be sure to check the latest trail conditions and reports through Travel Crested Butte and The Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association for the most up-to-date trail info. A little planning goes a long way in helping protect our trails and keep them in great shape for the season ahead.

After a sleepy off-season, Crested Butte is beginning to wake back up for summer. Elk Avenue is slowly filling with open signs again, patios coming to life, and familiar spots welcoming everyone back in.

From Montana’s Distillery and The Public House to Ryce Asian Bistro, The Eldo, Bonez, The Slogar (lunch + brunch only for now!), and more, it’s that time of year when town starts buzzing again little by little.
