​Real estate isn't always about open houses and matching keys to front doors, sometimes, it’s about being a detective.
​I recently hit a major roadblock with a missing easement that the title company couldn’t locate. Instead of waiting for answers, I headed straight to the Register of Deeds to dig through the records myself.
​The discovery? The document hadn't been recorded properly. The first page was there, but the crucial attachment, the most important part, was never filed.
​I didn't stop there. After some extra digging, I was able to track down a full copy with the family lawyer (thank goodness!). Now that the paperwork is officially sorted and the path is clear, we are officially ready to let the offers roll in!
