But three houses down…

🏃 Or skipping BOTH because you're not getting eaten by a demon for a fun-size Snickers? 😂

Full disclosure: I would walk into the haunted house, face my deepest fears, and risk my life for a FULL-SIZE CANDY BAR. 😂🍫

🔨 “Home maintenance can wait until spring.” — Regular maintenance throughout the year can help prevent bigger problems.

💡 “More insulation is always better.” — Proper installation and air sealing matter just as much.

🧹 “Gutter guards mean you never have to clean your gutters.” — They help, but gutters still need to be checked and cleaned.

🏡 Maryland homeowners, this one is worth paying attention to.

If you received your latest assessment and did a double-take, you’re definitely not alone.

A higher assessment can be confusing, especially when you’re trying to figure out what it actually means for your household budget. And with different tax rates, credits and local rules, the answer isn’t necessarily the same for everyone.

If you’re in Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s County or a surrounding area, take a few minutes to review your assessment notice and make sure you understand what you’re looking at.

And if something doesn’t look right, don’t just ignore it. There are appeal processes and deadlines to be aware of.
