Heading out for holiday travel this winter? Here are a few tips to prepare your apartment before you go:

1️⃣ Secure Your Space: Double-check that all doors and windows are locked before leaving.
2️⃣ Unplug Appliances: Save energy and reduce fire risks by unplugging non-essential electronics.
3️⃣ Adjust the Thermostat: Keep your home cozy but efficient—set the thermostat to a lower temperature, around 55°F-60°F, to prevent freezing pipes.
4️⃣ Tidy Up: Take out the trash and wash any dishes to avoid coming home to unwanted odors.
5️⃣ Ask for Help: Consider asking a neighbor or friend to pick up mail or keep an eye on your place.
