All 3 units on the 3rd floor are framed and the 2nd floor will be complete next week.

Lighting for 2 more lofts ready to go!

Framing is done on 1 more commercial unit and 2 lofts. You'll see new windows in the entire building real soon. It's getting exciting again as things are really picking up!

We moved all the lumber inside the building Monday. Today, a truckload of sound insulation was dropped off. Materials are arriving, workers are on site, and the project is starting to move fast!

Things are picking up at 87 N Howard! New masonry piers have been installed, the floors are being leveled and resheeted, brick repairs are ongoing outside, and new bearing walls are being framed!

From the day we bought the place I thought it was strange that this column wasn't centered on the beam. Well, it turns out that if it was, it would completely miss the foundation wall below. The building has stood for 123 years with this column hanging halfway off the foundation and only picking up about half the beam.

But thanks to Harley Thomas Masonry, the column can now be centered and will be sitting on a new pier.

And this wasn't the only place they missed the foundation. We built several other new piers where point loads were not bearing on the foundation.

The building is ready for it's next 123 years!

It has been a while.....
But that doesn't mean we haven't been working!

The drawings are nearly complete for the final phase of the project and we are looking forward to building 2 more retail spaces and 7 more lofts in the very near future!

Almost there....

We installed a pair of doors from the original hotel rooms today. Just a bit of cleaning and some paint and these will be a great addition to our first loft.
