American Dream Realty Associates American Dream Realty was founded by Buckett who has been an Indiana Realtor for over 52 years. The 1906 house has remained bustling offices for as many years.

The firm offices opened in 1987 when Buckett gentrified an eyesore rental property along North Main Street. Mostly, the agents have been women, and the principal broker Debbie Oborn. American Dream Realty has sported Equal Housing symbol on its stationery for as many years and not only believes in the law, but also the spirit of the Equal Housing Laws. Buckett, a visionary and president of the cor

poration has been a Realtor longer than the present Greater Northwest Indiana Board of Realtors has been in existence, and they awarded her a decade ago in 2014 with an emeritus status even though she remains as an active Realtor today. Buckett’s career has its roots in the Hub Swim Team and other parents in the same business, and her assisting her 1954 Hammond classmates and friends to move to the country and new subdivisions sprouting up south of US Highway 30. She was one of the early agents and a builder too in Valparaiso’s Shorewood development. American Dream Realty serves all of Northwest Indiana with signs to be found in Lake, Porter and other nearby counties. Last year Crown Point Mayor Pete honored Buckett with a longevity award.
