A productive trip to San Antonio! 📍🗺️

We spent time earning CECs toward our CFM certifications, continuing to expand our knowledge of floodplain management. Mike also had the honor of installing the incoming Directors for Chapter 11! 👍🏼

Always a great opportunity to learn, connect, and stay involved in our profession. 😁

We had a busy and exciting weekend! 🤩

The weekend kicked off at the TSPS Chapter 9 meeting Saltgrass Steak House, where Mike had the honor of installing the chapter’s new officers. ✅

From there, we headed to College Station for the TSPS 3rd Quarterly Board Meeting, which included strategic planning for Mike Hoover upcoming presidency and plenty of great conversations about the future of TSPS. 👍🏼

Of course, we had to make time for a little fun, too! We enjoyed the auction and were proud to donate a coastal-themed basket that Sharon Whanger put together herself — handpicking every item and making it extra special! 🏖️

Congratulations to Caleb Tomlinson on passing the NCEES Principles and Practice of Surveying (PS) Exam! 🎉

This achievement marks another major milestone in his surveying career. After earning his Surveyor-in-Training (S.I.T.) designation, Caleb has now successfully passed the PS exam and is one step closer to becoming a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS).

We'd also like to recognize Michael Hoover, William E. (Bill) Merten, Jibrael Ahmad, and Richard Smith for their guidance, mentorship, and support throughout his journey.

One more exam to go! We look forward to cheering Caleb on as he prepares to sit for the Texas RPLS exam next March.
