As always, he starts with the latest numbers across McHenry County — including current listings, private network activity, and recent sales.
This week, Andrew shares that we’re continuing to see inventory growth, which is great news for buyers. However, demand remains strong, and we still need home builders to continue building in order to keep up.
He also discusses a recent CNBC report showing that home builder sentiment has remained below 40 for the 15th consecutive month. Much of that hesitation is being driven by the rising cost of building materials and uncertainty surrounding economic and policy conditions.
On the financing side, interest rates have remained relatively steady, hovering around the mid-6% range.
And locally? The market is still incredibly active.
Andrew shares that homes across all price points are attracting attention, buyers are staying engaged, and properties continue to move quickly.
The bottom line: inventory is improving, but demand is still strong. If you’re thinking about buying or selling, now is a great time to have a plan in place.
